Big Bang Digital (All years, 14th July 2020)

A fantastic day of events for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) enthusiasts. A great opportunity to join the Big Bang STEM event digitally. You could attend a little of it, a lot of it or even all of it - you can even hear live from an astronaut!

Unable to attend the event? Watch the recording here.

The Big Bang Digital – Science, engineering and Covid-19 kicks off on 14th July 2020 at 10am on digitalbigbang.co.uk! Meet TV & Radio Science Presenter, Podcaster & YouTuber Greg Foot at 10am sharp as he welcomes you to the day.

From the people who built the Nightingale hospital, a Nobel prize winner, exclusive video from Sir David Attenborough to young people creating their own 3D printed PPE equipment, the day is packed full of fascinating and uplifting sessions to inspire young people with how STEM is helping deal with the issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. BSL interpreting is available throughout the day via our signed live stream.

Watch RS components show in detail how electronics can be used to create a socially distancing lanyard, and Imperial College London explain how to build a ventilator, how they built theirs, and what it is used for.

Alongside learning about food production, essential services and how infrastructure has kept the UK moving, the day is rounded off by Big Bang Fair favourite Gastronaut Stefan Gates presenting a stunning scientific adventure through the colours of the rainbow in honour of all the key workers who have been working so hard for us. With his usual blend of laughter, science and weird food fun it’s going to be a brilliant end to the day!

The confirmed line-up and schedule are on the website now. Join in at 10am Tuesday 14th July here digitalbigbang.co.uk
