Opportunities at CMS
Here at CMS, we believe that a career in law should be accessible to all. Therefore, we are
delighted to be launching two programmes for Year 12/S5/Year 13(NI) students; CMS Law
Scholarships and CMS Connect (formerly PRIME).
These programmes are designed to help students discover a career in Law.
What do you need to know about CMS?

• CMS has over 80 offices worldwide with 9 offices in the UK including: Aberdeen, Bristol,
Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Sheffield and Manchester.
Our Programmes:
CMS Connect (formerly PRIME work experience)
Available to Year 12 students, Monday 8th – Friday 12th August
CMS Connect is our paid work experience programme offering up to 50 individuals paid work experience, mentoring and skills workshops in our London, Bristol, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen offices. Your five days of work experience will be packed with opportunities to learn, discover, and meet new people. It is your chance to lay the foundations for a future career in law. We are currently working towards a hybrid delivery this year, with a mix of in office and virtual days. Students must commit to attending every day of that week – both online and in person.

CMS Law Scholarships
Available to Year 12 students
Our scholarships are for students intending to study at university and will provide 10 individuals across the UK with £2500 per year of their university course, mentoring and a chance to join the First Steps insight week. To be considered for a scholarship, you will need to enter our essay-writing competition – details here.
Scholarships are aimed at students who will be the first generation in their family to go to university. There are also certain financial criteria, such as free school meal eligibility that students need to meet. Full details of these and how to apply can be found here. Closing date 13 July.

Available to all students
CMS is a future facing top ten commercial law firm with more than 4,800 lawyers worldwide. You can speak with CMS mentors and learn from our modules about what life is like at CMS.
