Dirigo Film Festival (Yr 12 & 13, 29th Jan - 5th Feb)

The Dirigo Film Festival is an annual free event attended by 300+, created by the Film & Media Arts Production degree students at University Centre Weston. This year’s event received more than 100 entries and the final 14 include films from China, Singapore, Israel, UK and the US.

 

Year 7 - 11


The school’s edition of the festival will showcase entries from the ‘Young Filmmakers Award’ category and will be available to watch on the FilmUCW YouTube channel from Friday 29th January at 11am until Friday 5th February 9pm.  Here is the Trailer !! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWMQ29JCj9Y

Sixth Form


We would like to invite your sixth form to an exclusive screening of an International Student Film Festival, called Dirigo.


The event will be streamed live on the FilmUCW YouTube channel on Thursday 28th January (7pm - 9pm) followed by an awards ceremony, Q&A with festival directors and filmmakers on Zoom (from 9pm).

This invite is for students, staff, parents and carers. There are many skills that have been used to create this event, so please pass this onto students who have interests in other media skills such as social media, marketing, graphic design and event management.
