Grants to Support Young People Undertaking Vocational Courses & Qualifications


Are you undertaking a vocational course, qualification or an apprenticeship – e.g. early years, hairdressing, construction, horticulture, film and media, equine/animal care , catering, engineering.


We are currently open for applications to our vocational grant to support the cost of these courses. Grants of up to £1000 are available and can be used towards:

  • Resources or equipment to support the course

  • Course study or field trips

  • Travel costs

  • IT equipment

Young people can apply for a vocational grant if they are:

  • 16 – 24 years

  • studying at school, college or sixth form or undertaking an apprenticeship

  • have lived in Wiltshire or Swindon for at least two years

  • their parents/guardians or themselves are receive a means-tested benefit
