GWH Virtual WEX (Yrs 10-13) 28th June -10th July 2021 - Apply Now!

Great Western Hospital is giving students in Years 10-13 the unique opportunity to discover what a career in healthcare is like during a Virtual Work Experience programme starting on June 28th.

The programme, which is being run in conjunction with the Careers Hub and hosted on Springpod, will look specifically at:

• Medicine

• Nursing

• Midwifery

• Clinical Psychology

• Allied Health Professionals

• Non-clinical roles

Students will take part in live Q&A sessions with health care professionals, meet some of the GWH team and complete activities specifically designed to help them launch their healthcare career. The programme is flexible and designed to enable students to complete the work and assignments at times that fit with their schedule .

The VWEX programme will take place between 28th June and the 10th July 2021, however students do not need to be available full time during those dates but do need to be able to complete 10 hours of work over the 2 weeks to complete the programme.

Eligibility

To apply for this programme, students must:

• Have an interest in a career in healthcare

• Be in Years 10-13

• Be predicted or have attained Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English
