Experiences of care and losing touch with parents can impact people from all walks of life in many different ways.

Moving UP aims to provide guidance and advice to those that work with young people living without parental support — either in a caring or professional capacity.

Together, we can let them know where to turn when they need a helping hand, on things like personal and financial support and entering higher education.

The themes in the event have been put forward by current students who share similar lived experiences of care, adoption or estrangement. Their unique stories cover: Post-16 progression routes

• Making the transition to independent living
