BIMM Institute are running two open days in Jan and Feb and two free workshops over half term and they'd love for you to join them.
The workshops are open to 14 -18 years and will be delivered in two streams: 14 – 15 years and 16 -18 years. Students can choose between the two workshops below or join us for both! Events are free to attend and are delivered over Zoom.
WORKSHOPS
Wednesday 17th February 12pm – 2pm: Songwriting Workshop
The topline melody of any song is key to its success and popularity. In this session, we will explore how to create catchy and memorable music that stays with you! Join our industry experts as they pass on some tips and tricks.
Thursday 18th February 12pm – 2pm: Music Production for Game Workshop
From shattering glass, to epic explosions, discover how the sounds are created on your favourite video games.
Our experts will show you how sounds are recorded, mixed, and edited to create some of the game industry’s most iconic sounds. See the sounds created, added to real game footage and pick up some tips and tricks so you can try it at home.
OPEN DAYS
Saturday 30th January – L3 Diploma Open Day
This event is targeted to students progressing onto L3 study. Our Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance is designed to develop aspiring music professionals by focusing on performance skills, styles, technique, theory, music business, aural perception and career-focused goal setting. Overall, they provide a rounded music education that prepares you for further study or your first steps into the music industry. Students can book onto the event by clicking the link below:
Saturday 6th February – Undergraduate & Postgraduate Open Day
This event is for students interested in our Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Students will have the opportunity to attend a presentation about BIMM’s ethos and culture, attend course specific talks, speak to current students and also get any questions about student finance and accommodation answered!
