Bath Spa University, Higher Education Opportunities team looks forward to welcoming you to our upcoming virtual afternoon - taking place on the Wednesday 9th December 2020 - 12:30 to 3:30pm.
The purpose of our event is to encourage and reassure all applicants that higher education is a viable route for progression. We know that at the moment, higher education is being portrayed as scary and rather daunting - and it's probably making you question whether or not you want to attend University.

By engaging with this event we want to set the record straight and provide you with factual, up to date information, directly from our teaching staff and students. It's our responsibility as a University to support and advise all applicants about higher education, and we hope this event supports you on your journey through the application process.
This event will consist of live sessions as well as pre-recorded content - providing lots of information about the different aspects of university life, both inside and outside the classroom. Starting with a welcome from our Vice-Chancellor, and progressing through pre-recorded virtual lectures as well as live sessions, we hope this event reaffirms your confidence in higher education.
Alongside our pre-recorded content, the afternoon will consist of the following workshops:
12:30pm - 1:30pm - 'Student Life in the virtual classroom' - Mock virtual seminars, focused around key subject areas
1:30pm - 2:30pm - 'More than just a degree' - Interactive discussions with members of our student body and representatives from our Students' Union
2:30pm - 3:30pm - 'Stand out from the crowd' - An opportunity to hear about Professional Placement Years and why you should think about doing one when applying for a degree.
