Being proactive and developing your skills in your own time shows that you are motivated, determined and committed. It can help you stay positive and future employers will be impressed by your determination to succeed.
The National Careers Service have pulled together a list of free courses to help you learn new skills or change jobs. These courses include general skills that apply to all sectors and more specialised skills.
These courses are great to do over a holiday period or perhaps one evening each week. Don't forget to include which you have done on your CV!
