The Army is the largest employer of full-time musicians in the UK. Our musicians have a diverse and fulfilling career, playing in contemporary ensembles, string orchestras, jazz bands, brass bands, marching bands and more - at many of the UK’s highest-profile occasions'.

This placement will provide an insight into the life of professional musicians including:

• Interviews with Army musicians

• Practical sessions on controlling nerves for auditions and performance and improving practice.

• Overview of a career in Army music

The British Army are keen to have students who already play an instrument or have a very strong interest in a career in music!
